1. Make the coating surface more smooth
The surface of the strip steel after the coating shall be smooth and flat. The coating surface is covered with zinc flowers. Due to the segregation of zinc liquid crystallization, the zinc layer is convex when solidified first, and the solidified place is concave due to the shrinkage of zinc volume. If such strip steel is coated, these bumps will still appear on the coating surface. In order to eliminate these grooves completely, the strip steel of small zinc flower surface can be further leveled, and the uniform surface can be obtained.
2. Make the coating and strip steel structure more firm
With a flat roller with roughness to smooth the strip steel, the strip surface can obtain a certain roughness. The strip surface is rough, which increases the surface area combined with the coating when the coating, which will make the coating and the strip combined more firmly. In addition, the rough strip surface can accumulate more oil on the plate surface, and the plate surface oil is good for deep flushing.
3. Too smooth, can eliminate the yield platform, prevent the strip in stretching or deep flushing when sliding line. After heat treatment, although the plasticity has been greatly improved, but under the action of external force extension, such as yield phenomenon will occur, forming a yield platform. The yield platform will cause sliding lines on the surface of the strip steel during deep flushing or stretching. The presence of a slip line has no obvious effect on general use, but for those requiring high surface quality, painting the product after deep flushing is not allowed, because its presence reduces the surface quality of the product. In order to avoid the sliding line when stretching or deep flushing, the strip can be cold rolled or leveled after annealing to make the yield platform disappear. After the yield platform disappears, the steel plate can be evenly extended when stretched or deep.

3. Roughness control
The surface roughness of strip is an important index that affects the subsequent processing performance of the product. The surface roughness is obtained by controlling the roughness of the leveling machine. The roughness of roller surface and the roughness of plate surface is related to the leveling method, rolling force, bending force, elongation and roller surface thinning process.
4. Quality of surface
The surface quality control of strip steel is complicated, which is related to the roller state of leveling machine, liquid purging, spraying and concentration of leveling liquid. Because the adhesion of the hot-dip galvanized zinc layer is relatively fragile, it is necessary to control the leveling process reasonably to prevent the zinc layer from falling off and cause surface defects. The kind of leveling liquid and the purging method of leveling liquid adopts will affect the surface quality of the strip steel.
